Here are some of my works which I've enjoyed creating and making used of alternative materials and designs which are inspired by the people and nature around me
Acoustic Guitars : Personally my understanding of the guitar is more than just a good sounding instrument but also equally an expression of the highest form of art and creativity that can be incorporated into it. I like to use the natural beauty of the wood grain for my guitars. There are basically 2 popular models that are offered here.The original JJ and the OM shape. I uses mostly the exotic wood but occasionally Spruce and Cedar for Top and Rosewood are also included in the lineup. Besides the standard JJ Models there are the Special Limited series like the 'Seismic' and 'Universe' are based on the JJ shape but the materials used are specially selected . Inspired from the traditional X bracing pattern I've also developed my own take on the tuning of the soundboard and the usage of various materials to enhance the production of a good sounding guitar.
The Seismic Series are created to dedicate and remembrance of those who suffered during various tsunami and earthquakes happened throughout the world. The wood used are exclusively Monkeypod wood because of its natural stunning virtual grain figures and the great tonal quality of the finished instrument .
JJ Seismic I Model 2011
The Seismic I was inspired and dedicated to those who have experienced the devastation caused by the Tsunami in Fukushima Japan 2011. The whole body made from Monkeypod wood and the 2 tone bridge and fretboard are made from the MBW. The rosette has got a original split design and the Headstock was a combination of a solid and slotted design. Its a 10 strings guitar with extra B for the bass and the first 3 strings are double . Was premiered at the Montreal Guitar Show in 2011.

JJ Seismic II Model 2017
The Seismic II was made in 2017 and dedicated to those who have experienced the devastation caused by the Tsunami once again in Japan 2017. JJ Special Model 2017 - Crouching Tiger
The special edition was made in 2017 and was premiered at the Music China 2017 in Shanghai. The highly quilted Redwood Top combining with the Stripped Macasar Ebony blends the Crouching Tiger
inlay perfectly as a masterpiece artwork.

JJ Model 2011 - Blackie
The Blackie is a ShunNg Signature model.
Made from all Monkeypod wood . Its a fan fret 26" - 25" multi-scale length design. The fretboard and Bridge are made from the Rengas Wood which is similar to the cocobolo specie.
JJ - SP Model - Blackie
The Blackie is a ShunNg Signature model.
Made from all Monkeypod wood . Its a fan fret 26" - 25" multi-scale length design. The fretboard and Bridge are made from the Rengas Wood which is similar to the cocobolo specie.
The Universe Series was inspired by the many signs and happenings in the upper horizon , created in 2017. 2 Types of wood were selected for the body , The Mango wood which has a brighter tone combining with the Darker tone Monkeypod wood . Mod X Brace pattern with the laminated braces for the back. The special unconventional Rosette design inspired by the free flow of the universe inhabitants. The rest of the construction are like the JJ Standard, MBW Fretboard, Bridge and Bindings.

The standard features all my guitars are MBW for the Bridges, Fretboard, Headface and Bindings.
Neck is laminated with 7 pieces of Flamed Nyatoh / Mahogany / MBW / Maple Veneer.

JJ Special Model - The Mango Tree
The Top / Back and Sides are made from Mango wood. Except for the leaves are inlayed the rest of the wood grain are original. Mod X Braced pattern and the fretboard , bridge and Bindings are MBW.
Gloss finishing with Gotoh Gold Tuners . Was exhibited at the Healdsburg Guitar Show 2013 in California and sold by Dreamguitars.com

Classical Guitars : TIOMAN Model . these models are named after one of my favorite island 'Tioman' which is one of the most beautiful island in the world located at the South China sea.
Tioman II & III
The Tioman II has the Torres / Romanillos Body size and the Tioman III follow the Hauser design but the bracing pattern are both modified Lattice style using a combination of hard & soft wood. The Top is Cedar and the back & Sides are MBW . Neck is Mahogany with a Ebony strip. Fretboard and Bridge are either Ebony or MBW. Tuners are Gotoh and the purflings and rosette are Abalone / MOP shells.
Basically, the sound and shape is very traditional but my method of construction is very different from the old fashion way.
Ukulele is more than just a simple instrument for those local folks and since her time of birth till now, many innovations and designs has evolved thru the hands of serious builders.

Using exotic wood, these are one of its kind helping to give the both collectors and players more to behold its beauty besides its tonality.
GrooveMaster Model
This model was designed by Shun Ng and made by Jeffrey in 2016. It has both the Nylon and Steel strings version. It has a double output , one for the Piezo and the other for the transducer pickup under the bridge.
Others
As a player and musician myself, I have also made some hybrid instruments which I love and inspired by the local tribal music and traditional instruments like the 'Sapelele' 'Sapetar' ' Gambustar' 'Sundatang' ' GuQin'
